Paul becomes President

Paul Harrison has been elected President of The Law Society for Shropshire.

Paul, a Partner at Clarkes Solicitors’ one of Shropshire’s leading law firms, heads the firms Family Law department at their Newport Office and has 30 years exprience as a solicitor.  He is a member of the Law Society's Children Panel and also has Higher Rights of Advocacy in the civil courts.

Paul commented  ‘I am extremely pleased to be elected President of The Law Society for Shropshire which plays a key role for solicitors.  From negotiating with regulators, government and others, to offering training and advice, the Shropshire Law Society truly helps protect and promote solicitors across the county.’

Paul added ‘This year our ambition is for expansion and not only to represent 400 individual solicitors throughout Shropshire, but to extend membership for all those who provide legal services, whether in private practice or employed in industry, the courts, or even local government.  This includes all lawyers, trainee solicitors, legal executives, paralegals and their many dedicated and hard-working legal support staff.’
