Clarkes saw out 2017 in a fabulous festive style with the support of two community projects with our Shropshire neighbours.

Throughout December we ran a fantastically festive Christmas competition with schools throughout Shropshire with book tokens and selection boxes for winners and runners up. This year’s theme was “When Santa got stuck up the Chimney”.

The schools that took part really enjoyed the event. The staff at our offices in Wellington, Telford and Newport had great fun judging and we attended the schools to hand out prizes. We even got our office receptions bedecked in glitter and smiling Santas, though one or two who looked well and truly stuck looked a little less happy!

Towards the end of our working year at the office, Clarkes super generous staff decided that they would support the local foodbanks at every location we had an office. We held collections at Newport, Shrewsbury, Wellington Oakengates and Telford saw a huge collection of food stuff and Christmas treats being donate by staff to those who are less fortunate than ourselves at Christmas.

The foodbanks were so very grateful and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the support our staff gave the project. We all felt a little bit better about the plight of families in need as we broke up for our festive break.
