IMPORTANT NEWS UPDATE FOR HOME OWNERS . . .
The Government has suspeneded the requirement for home sellers to supply Home Information Packs (HIPs) from 21 May 2010.
The Housing Minister, Grant Shapps said, "Today the new Government is ensuring that home information packs are history. We are committed to greener housing so from now on all that will be required will be a simple energy performance certificate. By suspending home information packs today, it means that home sellers will be able to get on with marketing their home without having to shell out hundreds of pounds upfront for a largely unused HIP. Sellers still have to supply Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) within 28 days of a house going to the market.
